Mousehound Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 always obliging around the grassy areas of Mae Hia, CM . . . Plain Prinia Sweet. Obviously prime lens with that narrow dof, what did you use? Bleedin' heck. If you took this with a bridge camera what am I doing with all my gear. This is an outstanding shot with the kit used. 1
Popular Post Robby nz Posted March 1, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 1, 2015 Taken with my new toy this morning in Kaeng Krachan, the 150-600 Tamron. Noisy like hell but it was pretty dark. i'll say ! but hey . . . that's the price you pay with these slow Tammy/Sigma's when shooting in the dark woods. It's not bad though, and it's an 'Orange-breasted Trogon' for those that may not know. Would be a male and this would be a female, (I think). Close to a stream 2km up the road from the headquarters of Phu Toei NP. 4

Popular Post jack2964 Posted March 9, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 9, 2015 Rusty-naped female perhaps? 9
hanno Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I'd say so. How the heck did you get a shot like that (envious)?
jack2964 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I'd say so. How the heck did you get a shot like that (envious)? From a blind Hanno so it is actually quite easy. The hard part is getting fast enough shutter speeds due to very low light and fighting off swarms of 'koon' (biting flies).
hanno Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I hate those flies. Is that the hide at Kaeng Krachan?
jack2964 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I hate those flies. Is that the hide at Kaeng Krachan? This was from Chong Yen, Mae Wong NP.
