BBC with a brutal takedown of Ukrainian hopes
Putin will have to trade something to get the Ukrainians out of Kharkov. IMHO, the key to the whole war was not as much Kiev, as Odessa, since Odessa is historically a Russian city on former Tatar land, if my recollection is correct. I wonder what will be put in place to ensure a non repeat of conflict. Half of this war is based on historical ignorance and Ukrainian propaganda. You see it all the time here. -

Road Safety in Thailand β a summary of Perceptions and Reality
Every post you make shows how you fail to understand even the most elementary concepts of road safetyβ¦. You keep insisting that βitβs the driver firstβ as if road safety operates in a vacuum, but thatβs not how traffic science works. The Safe System Approach, used globally by experts, acknowledges that human error is inevitable, which is why infrastructure, enforcement, education, and vehicle safety are all critical factors in reducing accidents. Your fixation on blaming the driver is ignoring decades of research showing that speed management, road design, and law enforcement and the driving environment significantly impact accident rates. Studies by the WHO and transport, health and safety organisations worldwide confirm that high-crash regions often correlate with poor infrastructure and weak enforcementβnot just βbad drivers.β βmany are in accidents on straight highways, with safe vehicles β β this is such a facile comment! How can you be so ill-informed?? β Only in Thailand?? Even in βsafe vehiclesβ on βstraight highways,β variables like fatigue, road design (surfaces/signage etc), speed limits, lane discipline, and enforcement gaps all contribute to accidents. You still donβt comprehend the universality of human error (yet you display it in every comment you make). Trying to pretending otherwise is just lazy thinking that ignores established road safety science. You also make huge assumptions as to what constitutes a safe vehicle. You have post after post used assumption as βfactβ β when it is clear you donβt know how to put forward real evidence in any of your comments - it would be stretching the definitions to call them arguments β gainsaying maybeβ¦ So no, itβs not just βthe driver first.β Itβs a system-wide issue, and refusing to acknowledge that is exactly why road safety stagnates. And all your postulations fall at th first fence -

BREAKING NEWS Trump Signals Potential Meeting with Putin in Saudi Arabia Amid Ukraine War Talks
As someone who has, obviously been aware of the situation since the beginning, as we all are, but never looked at it very carefully it would be interesting to hear from the chaps that actually do know far more about whatβs going on out there. My view (the view of someone who knows nothing more than what the BBC etc tells him): Ukraine is never, ever and ever going to get the Russians out of what the Russians now consider to be theirs. I see that as a fact which obv Trump does too so whatever happens next has to have that fact taken into account. Anything that does not take that into account may as well not even start. Any other way of thinking is condemning untold more 1000βs upon 1000βs to misery and death for nothing more than the profits of the munitions and medical supplies manufacturers and the multi nationals just waiting in the wings for the huge contracts that will be available for the eventual rebuilding. If there is a way to end it now with any certainty so millions of people can get back to something less horrific then it has to be considered. Putin will never give up what he's taken so far. He would sooner die. To do so would be to admit defeat and that the whole god awful thing was a total waste of everything. He will simply continue fighting until all he has left to use are weapons that must never be used. The Ukrainians have been astounding in their bravery and tenacity but itβs everyone else that is paying to continue the war so everyone else has just as much right to decide what happens next as they do. Probably more so. As with everything else in life, you pay, you choose. No need to jump down my throat over this I am just saying what casual observations lead me to think and I am very curious see what people who have taken far more interest in this subject than I have say is the actual situation so I can be enlightened. I wait with true and genuine interest. Simon -

Thailand sure has its fair share of sick-minded people to do such a thing to a 10 year old girl or anyone else for that matter. -
