Hi, Can someone with first hand experience on the matter tell me if its possible to specially order curtain air bags on any of the cars made in Thailand? I can see that EL 2.4 Accord and above has them as does Chev Captiva at higher end models. In Australia there is no choice at honda / toyota and all models come as standard with full front, side and curtain airbags and yet still cheaper or on price par with Thailand where the cars are made. So the question is, as the cars are made in Thailand, can a brand new civic or toyota or any other thai made car be ordered with the curtain air bags as an extra?? Thanks

Nope - in Thailand you choose the appropriate badge (model grade) to get the major factory options you want.

The only dealer fitted options here are simple accessories like side mirror covers, weather/bug shields, mats/liners, body kits, reversing sensors/cameras, GPS etc - which are commonly non-genuine too, unless you're *very* specific..
