Last time I went to BKK I noticed that PTT was no longer selling standard (benzene) 91 and I was told that the well-known 91 will be off the market soon.

I live in Phuket and now PTT stopped offering 91 and so will Shell as soon as their storage is empty - I live in Phuket. Since the government wants Ethanol, I guess, all other pumps like Esso and Caltex will follow .

Unfortunately I dive an imported bike, a Harleys V-Rod/Nightrod and, according to my information, none of the EU and US import bikes like Ethanol since it can "eat" the rubber and create other pronlems.

Does anyone in this forum has a bigger import bike like HD, Ducati, BMW, etc and uses gasohol for some time and can share his/her experiences? BTW, I was told that Shell's gasohol 95 seem to be the best quality of them and might work without (substantial?) damage to engine and pipes.

All gas in america has 10% ethanol and if the bike is a US spec. it will be fine. The exception is ducati and they are having to replace lots of fuel tanks.

I use 95 octane gasahol all the time in my Road King with nary a problem. It even sits for long periods between my visits and starts right up.

Stay away from the E20.

A few baht yes but Benz 95 is about a 22% increase over Gasohol 95 per liter

I have a 2005 Honda Phantom 200cc, got rid of a 1994 Yamaha Virago 535cc last year after 18 months and I am running a 1992 Honda CB 400 all on 95 gasohol and no problems with any of them.

Could this be the story? Lack of tank-age space and more blends so 91 is gone , long live 95?

The bottom line is 91 benzine is government banned. 95 benzine & 91/95 gasohol are not banned. Not sure why everyone is confused.

ptt it's yellow and cost about 46 baht a liter.
