Popular Post Fiddlesticks
^ I am surprised Ron was up so early this morning, to make a post this morning, after all that hard work of planting 7 coconuts yesterday! Spearmint! .... must pick off those developing flowers, so they don't cross pollinate! ..... that will be about it for me today! SJ, Yeah, better go in and rest now. One can get worn out pretty quickly picking flower buds off of mint plants. Probably time for a vacation as well!

(Lamai) So, is that you, collapsed on the beach, exhausted from trimming your mint plants? You must learn to pace yourself and not do all 10 plants in one day!

I would worry myself for the longevity of the plastic bags , but I am sure that trial and error has produced this method .

Popular Post Ron19
My Dragon Fruit plantation as it stands at 10am this morning.I dont know what coloured flesh these ones are as I picked the cuttings up from a pile of discarded ones on the side of the road. These ones have been growing for around a year. These are three bare posts that I put in this morning and are now waiting for cuttings of the red fleshed variety that I have sourced from another TV member. The cuttings are at this moment on their way from Chiang Rai and are due in Uttaradit at 3-45pm today. It's no fun for an old fart like me digging the holes in ground that is as hard as concrete. Two of the posts were 2nd hand and had large amounts of concrete attached which I knocked off as much as I could and one of them had to be moved 30 metres to it's hole. Not easy on your own but I am an indepenndant old B and I get more satisfaction achieving what I have alone. That's interesting, haven't heard of that before for dragon fruit.Do you have the sewer pipe above ground and fill it up with soil mix ?
