Popular Post shaggy1969
Last few photos from the fish farm on the River Chi Winch system to take fish food down to the raft and also to bring the fish up for sale. I wouldn't fancy tackling that walk way after a few beers But I suppose you could always sleep it off in one of the huts

Popular Post samuijimmy
Rosemary and Oregano and mint ... being grown by my local hydroponic farm....but this is in soil! The owner of this farm is a really nice guy, I like popping in once in a while a chatting with him (he's Thai) and well read... The rosemary is under plastic to keep it on the dry side (soil) ...for the Hotel market! Oregano, this has really filled out in the last month.... and mint... I got on his case about the flowers as he has two kinds! more land being cleared...to build more poly houses, to try growing tomatoes ... hydroponically... he's not sure yet whether that will be successful...

Popular Post lawrence1366
I've converted the backyard of my mubaan into a farm to grow veggies as a trial. Pretty good results I would say from the yield that I get. I'm using cow dung here. Edited January 23, 2014 by lawrence1366

I was told by my wife that the guy who reared the cows have them composted for a month or more before he sells them. Otherwise it will kill the veggies.
Ace of Pop
Ron if You grow Dragon Fruit ive found that putting a big sewer pipe around each of the post improves the fruit quality. , bit late now you've done the posts. That's interesting, haven't heard of that before for dragon fruit.Do you have the sewer pipe above ground and fill it up with soil mix ? Yes, and it makes a difference. Old Fruit Farmer told me.

Popular Post Ron19
Red fleshed dragon fruit cuttings are in.Will have to get into it and make the tops for these three posts then sit back and wait for the cuttings to take off.By the way,the banana plant that you can see that is too close has already been shifted to the back of the block.Bit of a worry though, It wasn't looking 100% before and when it came out of the ground it had some white white mould on some of the roots so it may not survive in it's new position. That's the way to do it.I use it in liquid form and let it age for at least a month before applying it to the plants.
