Here the farmers have dug waterholes under the tobacco field^^. When it's time to water these guys simply hook-up the Etans and that's it! Unlike most farmers have always struggle to transport the water from far away. The water depth at my mother in laws farm is 20 meters. Is that deep in comparison to other wells?

Hope everyone's oksmile.png

DL, 20 meters I think is not deep,me and the misses were talking to a guy yesterday, who had just had a borehole in his field done, went down 70 meters drove past today he is putting in electric, so he will be useing an electric pump total cost, 100k.a lot of other boreholes are the same depth in this area.

This is one of a lot of boreholes been done in this area,I think worrying,as 90% of all our water used in homes and farms etc, is from a underground supply.

The only good thing is that ,a lot of farmers are using a drip irrigation system ,an economical system ,especially in a very dry year like this.

A good photo, I do like black and white, not seen very often

You should have been more specific and called the thread: "building the water tower"

Your right,I suppose I could of made a separate thread on making the water tower but those photos are still farm related.

Being a welder myself it always made me cringe to see them welding in only sunglasses,I once took them some strong brazing goggles but they continued using their old shades.

Sadly it seems they have never been taught, that welding without a head screen causes skin cancer!
