Eye Doctor - Dr Puchong

Located on the beach road in Nathon, two shops before the Palace hotel...(close to ferry terminal end)

Not easy to find first time, as no sign in English!.... and hidden behind two blue awnings (perhaps sometimes)...

Phone 081 273 6940 or land-line 077 236 090... (Open Monday to Saturday 9 to 5 pm... morning only Saturday)

He seemed OK, full test and some pills, 650 baht

I have recently used the small shop on the ring road near the post office in Maenam. Very good - not expensive, and quick.

Coming from Bophut - head to Maenam. After the PO look for the shop houses on the left hand side. Second shop house. There is more than one set of shop houses. The first set - they are mostly empty. It's the set after that.

It would take a couple of guys only a day or 2 to complete. A new pylon and about 2 metres of 1.6 metre high concrete wall. Plus painting it.

Any ideas on who I could contact for such a job ?

Yes sorry, I am in Maenam. I guess the painting I can do myself but would need the concrete work done.

If you stabilise the wall once it has been rendered you can paint within a few days the stabiliser will cost in the region of 1,300 bht from home pro Make sure you use a good quality outdoor paint as there is a lot of crap paint sold in Thailand a good paint say 9 litres would cost 1600 to 2300 baht.

you could try Sak Service 080 532 6509 - K.Sak speaks good English, very professional but I'm not sure what size of jobs he's prepared to do, or if he will go to Koh Phangan.He also specialises in solar electric systems in case you're interested in that

I can recommend Kh Sak as well - and he does do work on KPN

I needed to break into a broken safe the other day. The locking mechanism was kaput.

I called up my trusty locksmith and he did the job

He also cuts the cheapest keys that I have found (and they always work) - 30 baht for a cylinder lock key. He does local house calls to fix those dodgy door locks as well!

He is on the road to the airport - on a corner in between departures and arrivals. Diagonally opposite Fairways, next to an advert for the crocodile farm.

Good locksmith on the road to departures - near the crocodile farm. He has cut keys for me for years and they always work first time.

I do not know if he does car keys from scratch, but he has done motorcycle keys and even breaks into safes.

His shop is inbetween arrivals and departures - opposite the kid's place "Fairways".

His name is Kh Satipan (I think - difficult to read my writing!!! )

His phone number is on his card in post no18 in this thread.
