Torrent Ports

Featured Replies

Hey everyone

I was wondering what i should set my ports for bit torrent downloads? Lately i haven't been getting great speeds even though i forwarded my ports to 49152. I use True (false) internet. Does anyone know a port that is good for bit torrent downloads?

Don't know where you got that port number but the normal range is 6881-6889 and should open all of them in that range.

Might look at this forum: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/73686

And a little more info: http://compnetworking.about.com/od/bittorr...orrentports.htm

Thanks for your reply

However, for bitcomet... particularly in Bangkok... if anyone uses them here.... what are the correct ports for these? Because i keep getting "Local" and not "Remote" connections in the peer section. I forwarded my ports to 65534 but still having a problem.

Ports 6881-6889 are blocked or restricted by a number if ISPs - inlcuding those here in Thailand.

Any of the numbers that you have setup should work ok.
