Cockpit Car Repair

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever used the cockpit garage for car repairs like brake job? Not sure if there are several but there is one on the road on the back side of central that seems to do a booming business.

Any comments positive or negative on service, quality, price?

I use two different Cockpit stores in Chiang Mai and both are excellent, great service and sensibly priced plus they do know what they're doing - these places are franchises so I think it all comes down to finding one where the franchisee is motivated etc..

Have never used the place myself but have a couple of discerning friends who do. I would take that as a recommendation.smile.png

will give them a try...i normally just go to toyota dealership but for a simple brake job i suspect no reason to pay a premium...

Those were the days...Sunday mornings under the bonnet with a half set of imperial sized spanners tinkering with who knows what.

Actually though, as Pomchop says it seems crazy to be paying Toyota's premium prices, especially if the vehickle is out of warranty. I wonder too whether there is anywhere where one could buy the genuine bits and have a tinker again? (my knuckles are far too smooth these days, a few new scars would be a change)
