The Highspeed Internet Joke

Featured Replies

Got a new house:

got told true broadband is working, took 2 phone lines from true and got the information area not covered.

Checked Loxinfos homepage, they told me, yes it is possible and one hour later that it is not possible I should use IP-Star instead.

But got also told with TOT line it works.

Has someone more insight knowlege? The phone is 028063036

I don't want to have an additional TOT line which does not work as well.

Hi ,

Can't really tell you about your Area...but i am in Nakhon Sawan and the first one who offered ADSL was TT&T in my particular out of Town location. Maybe your Place is covered by them?

Good luck,

rcm :o

thanks, also a terrible webpage and info what areas are covered. I think there is a competition which ISP can make the most useless webpage....

Go check with your neighbour or surrounding area and see what ISP provider have in your area.

This comment will bring your topic back on top.

Sorry for the delay/inconveniens H90

If you are a TOT line then you can't get it through TT&T. however, have you tried calling TOT and finding out which ISP's can give you DSL for your area?

I have found that trying to get information over the internet for this kind of thing in Thailand is nearly impossible and it is better to just call.

Not True I have TOT Phone Line and TTT Maxnet4Home 512/256

Interesting, not what we were told but doesn't matter, we are TT&T anyway.

How do you like maxnet? we were thinking of switching as it is a bit cheaper but wondered what kind of speed you get.

SBK, Speed on Maxnet is alright . But if you need some Info , noone knows anything...but i guess you will find this with the other ISP's as well.

h90 , you probably best off to use good old Telephone and give them a Call (TT&T , TOT...) . I had the "specialists" from TT&T at my House to Test if the Line is "good (which was by the way a TT&T Line..)

There are 3 people in my condo block that I know of using the Maxnet4home 512/256 Package and we all get dl's above 400 and ul's in the 190 range 95% of the time We all are pretty happy with it and pretty much getting what we are paying for.

Hereforgood,

you most definately have a TT&T line!

No such thing as Maxnet on a TOT line...

Don't be confused by the TOT bill you get, all billing is handled by TOT, even for TT&T lines!

In Pattaya it's quite easy to know from who you lease your line from,

all numbers beginning with 0382 and 0384 are from TOT, all numbers beginning with 0383 and 0387 are TT&T.

I'm going to start a seperate thread about the Maxnet packages to let everybody on Maxnet state their average speed, combined with what package they're on (home or life) and the rough location they are.

Well then I guess I do have a TTT line as the # begins 0383. And the TOT Billing threw me off.

SBK Sorry for the Bad Info The Expert has set me straight :o
