Can anyone help with a translation of "to be ruthless" in throwing out things I might never use. I'm moving house and have accumulated so much rubbish. I want to say be ruthless and chuck out things, especially sentimental things.

I know the word: โหดเหี้ยม hòht hîam

but his doesn't really seem to fit.

Thanks

May I suggest ตัดใจ? As in, you ต้องตัดใจทิ้งของไม่จำเป็น. I think it captures the meaning of doing something against your own inner wishes, out of some feeling of necessity.
