Problems With Ants And Internet On Koh Samui

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm looking for a couple of products on Koh Samui.

First is something I saw in London for ants used by my landlord. It was a discreet box which sat underneath the kitchen counter and slowly but surely attracted ants in until the whole nest was stuck inside (probably dead). It's some kind of one-way entrance pheromone box. So far I've only checked the big Tesco Lotus in Lamai. Lots of pest control, but none of these.

Second is Ethernet powerline plugs like these. Also checked Tesco in Lamai, no luck.

I'll ride anywhere on the island if anyone if there's somewhere I can definitely get these.

Any help appreciated even if it's just a suggestion.

Thanks!

I don't know about traps but you can buy ant powder in Big C, Tesco etc and you spread it around where the ants infest. Worked well in my kitchen.

It comes in a big yellow foil bag, I think it,s brand name is ARS (not meant as a joke)

Boric acid is good but I could not find any to buy here on Samui.

Good luck

Yes, the ARS powder works well.... Powder or Chalk form... I think the foil bag might be orange now... or ..... Perhaps that's the Big C version!!!!

Borax (Boron, Boric Acid) I've only seen at a store in Lipa Noi, that sells agricultural supplies, but don't have in stock very often ... (behind the Chevrolet dealership, up the side road there. )....

But huge amount for one home!...... It's also used as a trace element for some plants. wink.png
