Still waiting for final confirmation from TAT but looks like May,June & possibly July at THB 800 for participating courses although last year a few of the "top courses" did not participate and likely to happen again from what I was told.

I'll be there on June 22nd so hoping that july will be included this year. Hopefully Royal Chiang Mai and Highlands will be back this year.

Have they finally finished the work in Mae Jo? The last two summers, they were doing work and the lay out doesn't flow well and the last par 3 is a mickey mouse hole. Too bad, it could be a decent course...

Otherwise, I'll spent most of my time on the wicked greens at Alpine...

Some genius has decided that raising the price by 25 per cent this year would be a smart thing to do.

Seems like those that do participate will be charging THB1000 plus caddy fees up to THB350.

At least 2 good courses already charging less than that - Amazing Thailand is correct!

Just got this in an email. No mention of caddie fees over and above the 1000B.

Chiang Mai Golf Festival 2013
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) together with Northern Golf Resort Association is hosting again the Chiang Mai Golf Festival for 2013. However, this year the green fee has increased to 1,000 Baht. The festival will run from 1 May - 30 June. The following courses are participating: Inthanon, Mae Jo, Alpine,

During the two months each course other than Star Dome will host a tournament on either a Saturday or Sunday. The entry fee of 1,200.00 Baht is inclusive of green fee, gift, dinner, and lucky draws. Each tournament will commence with a Shot Gun Start at 12:30. Registration is required.
The scheduled tournaments are:
Chiang Mai Inthanon Golf and Natural Resort..............................Saturday, 4 May 2013
Mae Jo Golf Club and Resort.....................................................Saturday, 11 May 201

Pretty much sure caddy fees are additional. As I mentioned, makes no sense,Inthanon & Gold Canyon are already less than THB1000 so they are going to up their prices?

Highland are at THB1400 + caddy fee for the same period, crazy!
