Foreign media expressed admiration for His Majesty the King’s ingenuity after visiting the royal projects in Chiang Mai.

Foreign press traveled with the Department of Public Information to Chiang Mai yesterday. Reporters from leading news agencies based in Thailand visited the royal project at the Ang Khang (อ่างขาง) royal agricultural station and the Huay Hong Krai (ห้วยฮ่องไคร้) center of study for development in Chiang Mai.

Foreign media said that the royal projects have proven beneficial to Thai people, adding that the projects help local villagers to earn more income.

Secretary of the Laotian embassy, Supon Promsawan (สุพล พรมสวรรค์), said that the project demonstrates His Majesty the King’s ingenuity in reducing areas known for poppy production. He said that Laos can follow the example of the project. Meanwhile, Ms. Hi Jing (ฮี จิง) from China’s Xin Hua News Agency said that His Majesty the King acts as a role model for the Thai people in solving the problems.

The delegation also visited the Night Safari in Chiang Mai. They said that they will publicize what they have learned during this trip in their respective countries.
