Chiyphum Hotel/food?

Recommended Posts

Will have to overnight Monday in Chiyphum and will need two rooms. From internet is appears the Sirichai is the largest hotel in town. Any thoughts on hotel/food and directions appreciated.

I think the Lemart (sp?) is the larger hotel. I've now stayed at both and would have to say the Lemart is the better of the two.

Not to sure of the food part as I eat off the street.

I did find a mention that it was the best hotel but got the impression it was smaller and not sure of the price difference. Is it located in the downtown area? As for food we will probably eat in shophouse type place.

If that is Lodnimit Hotel it is about the same size as Surichai so sounds like a good option. Believe it is on road 201 going west (before the north intersection?).

A year ago I stayed at one hotel that was pretty nice and was fairly large, about 4 or 5 stories. It had just been rennovated, or at least some of the rooms were. Brand new AC, new furniture, carpet and fixtures, in a modern square style (see pic). The lobby and check in area was also redone and there was a club downstairs at basement level. The club was isolated enough that I don't remember there being any noise problems.

It was about 400-500 baht/night for the new rooms, but they had a special as they had just been redone. The sign said 590 or something like that normally. The non-renovated rooms were maybe 290, but they may have renovated the whole thing now.

It is in the northwest edge of town and east of the road heading toward the University and Tat Ton National Park. On the map below, the best I can figure is it's either right where the word "Chaiprasit" is, or to the right of that. Could be Lodnimit Hotel, although on the Internet there's a Lertnimitra Hotel with 79 rooms that might be it at 440/1 Niwetrat Rd.

There are motorcycle dealerships and tractor dealers right around the hotel.

Thanks for the information. That is the best map of the city I have seen but they seem to have mislabeled the Loet Nimit and Sirichai Hotels. Guess either of them should be ok for a night.
