Dtac Showing Advertisement For Maximum Speed Up To 42 Mbps

Featured Replies

Just wanted to post this on here as today I was in dtac paying my bill and happen to see dtac showing this on there payment counters and could not help but notice the following

* Get allowance to use 3G maximum speed at 42 Mbps -

I wish I could get just 5% of that 42 Mbps speed but I don't I'm only getting 600 kbps or 1.5% of that speed on my internet with dtac. Anyone out there getting 42 Mbps.

If DTAC was in the US, they would be sued for deceptive advertising. They imply that you can get 42 Mbps. Is anybody getting it? Of course not. There is no such capability or anything close that exists in Thailand. To the extent they say yo can get this speed, they are lying.

Maybe its just bad translation to english, I think they want to say "up to 42 Mbps", at least thats how they advertise it on their website.

Its not very different in the west. I paid for 7.2 Mbps with Vodafone, I hardly ever reached more than 1 Mbps.

Maybe you can get at least quite close to 42Mbps, if your device can support it, to a local server in Thailand, in the middle of the night ;)
