Samsung Gn-7000 Firmware Update

Featured Replies

When I connected Samsung Note (GN-7000) to Kies today, it indicated a firmware update is available. The new firmware indicated are:

Current PDA:LR5 / PHONE:LR1 / CSC:LR2 (THL)

Latest: PDA:LSE / PHONE:LS8 / CSC:LSE (THL)

I have tried to update the firmware twice for over 4 hours total. It seems to get stuck at the device indicating that it is downloading. The computer indicates that the device is not recognized after the update downloads to the computer (it is recognized when I connect it and also after starting Kies). USB drivers install and then the device disappears from Explorer. The device just sticks at "downloading Do not remove the cable from the device".

Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe wait a few days; there could be many, many people trying to download the same file?

Also, re-start the PC and the phone: KiES can be a bit finnicky, I know some people who tried to update ~ 50 times before it was successful.

You could also download the firmware from another site, then flash using ODIN.

Thanks! I'll try waiting a bit.

Try the build in Update feature. Should be settings/ about device/ Software Update.

I had checked that. The "Software Update" showed no updates available.

I was able to update the firmware via Kies about 9:00 pm.

Thanks for all the help.
