April 1, 201312 yr Does anyone know where to find a summary in English or Thai of the legal requirements for a Thai to open a business in Thailand. My wife wants to open a store with one employee. Neither I nor any other foreigner is involved at all. The business will be a retail business. She and one single employee at first will work in the store. The kinds of questions I have are: 1. is there a sole proprietorship ownership structure that enables her to own the business without a board of directors, etc.? 2. With whom does she register the company to pay the Social Security tax for her sole employee?
April 2, 201312 yr don't think there is any ownership structure wife opened a shop a few years ago. we (she) own's the shop, she just open the shop,as she went along she had to get a few license's to sell smokes, booze and beer. she pay's her own SS about 100B a month. SS people come around every month to collect and gives her a recepit tax man comes around every year to check the books and to make sure she has all the license's she just got a license to sell inported smokes and booze she works by her self, makes 6000 to 8000b a day
April 3, 201312 yr Sounds like another reason to be happy in Thailand. I have been thinking of something like that for my wife, who is in need of activity. Where in TH is the shop, and just what type of shop is it? Like those little mom 'n pop single-wide with a glass-front fridge? What would you say the monthly expenses to be and what net income?
