President Hillary Rodham Clinton -- No, It Is Not Too Early

Featured Replies

Keeping on the 2016 theme:

Chris Christie

He scares me.

I thought before too fat to win or even run, but now he's had lap band surgery so by three years from now he may have lost of good chunk of Jersey lard.

Yes he's got the personality stuff that Americans can't resist.

The trouble is his policies are standard right wing republican.

I'd say he is Hillary's greatest threat.

He scares you because his politics are scary or he scares you because you see him as a legitimate threat to your most favored outcome? He is incredibly popular in New Jersey , even while making fiscal cutbacks to a "basket case" of a taxation/spending/budget nightmare in NJ left by the arch criminal Corzine. He could mess with that ol' electoral college. I wonder if he's got any coattails in NY state.

Christie has to get beyond his stupid embrace of Obama right before the election. A lot of concervatives despise him for that. As far as I am concerned, Obama has two people to thank for his reelection despite his dismal record: Bill Clinton for claiming that the bad economy was not his fault despite 3 years in office and Chris Christie for providing a much needed photo oportunity for the Obama campaign a few days before the vote.

Only 2 people...?

The two MAIN people that enabled Obama despite his pathetic record in office.

IMO HRC still has too much baggage include bubba and Cristie is to obvious. Jeb Bush is my kind of guy. The best news is it won't be Obama

...and it might not be Hillary if the Congressional hearings on Benghazi get any media coverage.

She is up to her neck in the cover-up.

He needs to win NJ again first. Only wacko right wing extremists would blame him for helping his own NJ citizens after the storm. His appeal is a tiny bit more rationality than the standard republicans. His positions though are solidly right wing. He could win. Thus the danger. I DETEST the American right wing. Even "moderate" republicans are far right by international standards.

He doesn't need to win it but I think he is the overwhelming favorite to win and by a wide margin. His other appeal is that he bears no responsibility for all the problems that exist from the previous 2 administrations. He never voted to go to war, twice. He never ran a failed foreign policy. He never ran a failed bid for universal healthcare. He was the antidote to an arch criminal foisted on the American people, not a crony:

Of course he needs to win. If he doesn't win NJ that's a sign he can't take his home state in the prez election. His BIG appeal is elect-ability. DUH!

What are you on about?!? I know he is going to win now. But yes he does need to. The hug helped. Any democrat that MIGHT have won won't even run against him now. After the hug. Sensibly. Politics, my dear, don't you know?

So its about hugs now? For my part, I'd like to see the Hilary/Corzine hug in heavy rotation on the idiot box. Even the stupidest of voters knows what he is.

It's about whatever it takes. LB, I find you hilarious. You don't like Obama's foreign policy and you think a republican is going to be less hawkish. I want some of what you're smoking, dude.

Romney would already have started a war with Iran by now. Maybe that's the right thing to do, but I reckon someone with your politics would be AGAINST that.

The republicans final solution to the sick and uninsured: Let Them Die. Not acceptable. Barbaric actually. Not much different than fascists. In the long run Obamacare will shake out its problems and the USA will at least be CLOSER to what is really needed: UNIVERSAL SINGLE PAYER.

Well if failure is the benchmark, it stands to reason that someone else couldn't do worse. No, Democrat or Republican I won't get what I want as far as military affairs are concerned. I know that much. They are both in the pocket of the MIC, they both now stand for less individual freedoms. Never ending drone warfare against not quite identifiable targets for not quite concrete aims.

Anyhow, I think this president and his Secty's Of State have practiced a deplorable foreign policy in the Middle East and North Africa. They've got a lot of blood on their hands with more to come.

Has it occurred to you we're at war and there are enemy forces wanting to take us down? Would you like us to be in the WEAKER position then?

I'm not blind. The Iraq war was a mistake. Many of the actions by bush and OBAMA have backfired, creating more terrorists than they kill. Sure, do it better. But we STILL have enemies to fight.

It's about whatever it takes. LB, I find you hilarious.

Since we're taking each other's inventories. You claim to be a liberal, yet I've never heard you decry the perpetual state of war your homeland prosecutes. Liberals are anti-war aren't they? They used to be anyway, hard to find one so disposed now.

And what about all the financial market shenanigans. Where are the liberals seeking justice from law breaking corporations and inept regulators? Not a peep out of them. Is it because they're all in too? When Obama was shaking down the Wall Street banking elite and telling them "I'm the only one standing between you and the crowds with pitchforks" why didn't your ilk call him on it and demand justice?

The list is endless of this man's hypocrisy. He's more right wing than the Republicans used to be, but he's YOUR man and that makes it all alright. Now that would be hilarious if it weren't really happening.

You mean the "war on terror"? <deleted> that.

Yes! You get it now. Do the math, buster. That means electing an actual republican is a total disaster.

Americans are stuck in a right wing country. That's a fact. The democrats are a little more reasonable. The republicans are BAT SHEIT CRAZY, the Xian versions of Iranian fundamentalists.

There is a fiction in American politics that there is a real choice between two reasonable ideologies. That's not the case. The republicans are hard core EXTREMISTS. Now they won't even negotiate about anything. They aren't into governing anymore. They're into obstructing and pushing their irrational extremism. Very dangerous. Faced with that, yes Obama and Clinton look stellar.

An alternative to both never looked like a more reasonable course. What's the worst that could happen? Seriously, what's worse than Bush/Cheney/Obama/Biden? Ross Perot with Rand Paul as veep couldn't screw things up worse. Nader running this time?

I live in the real world but no I don't like any of your choices. Especially Rand Paul.

Those aren't my choices, just examples of people once thought not mainstream enough. Looking at what the mainstream has wrought they're probably all owed apologies.

Anyway, back to Hilary. Don't you get the impression that the Obama presidency is like a preview of coming attractions were she elected. I'll not judge the people who got fooled by Obama, but you wouldn't double down on that would you? Why not try something more adventurous? It can't be worse.

Christie would be worse. But most of republicans would be worse than Christie. He is indeed electable.

So why would he be worse? He seems to be doing a pretty good job in New Jersey and his constituents look on him pretty favorably. Hilary OTOH has no significant political achievements, ever, unless you count marrying a man who would become president.

She did a pretty good job of covering up Benghazi.

Not really. They did a horrible job of covering that up. Fortunately they had a press corps that was in the bag for them. Neither Obama or Hilary had any executive experience and it shows.

She won't run, Obama has already used all her social ideas and in 3 years the country will be screaming for a job creator not a social worker

That's kind of sexist. She's not a social worker, mate. She's an ex-U.S. Senator and Secretary of State.

He's a republican. They're a horrible party. The party that's all about the war on the poor. The party of racial division. The party of homophobia. The party of teaching fake science to students. The party of climate change denial. The party of making all abortions illegal. The party of starting wasted wars like Iraq. The party of no gun control. The party of prisons for profit. The party of locking up too many young black men. NO republican will ever be acceptable to any reasonable American. For Christie to even get nominated he's going to have to make promises to the republican base. They are lunatics!

Thats creative thinking. Are you saying that only women are social workers? BTW if memory serves me correctly, she did not complete her elected position and the second was a political appointment

I'm suggesting you don't know the first thing about the career of Hillary Clinton who is most likely destined to be the FIRST woman president of the USA.

She is MASSIVELY QUALIFIED to be president and anyone who denies that simply irrationally hates her.
