think if you narrowed it down to something less general....

Everybody is reminded to conduct due diligence before investing with someone you met on the internet.

Not sure WHY you would need a partner to do an ecommerce site...

If you have been involved with eCommerce before, then you should have an idea of what it takes to run one. Getting traffic to the site can be expensive.

Getting that traffic to convert is even harder.

If you plan to buy the ecommerce site, just make sure that you check the traffic rankings, PPC costs, conversion rate, SEO, bounce rate etc.

The number of Facebook likes mean NOTHING unless they convert to sales (which hardly ever happens).

As a general rule, ecommerce sites sell for REVENUE x 10 (plus inventory at cost). Dont pay more for "Goodwill" and "Facebook likes". You can just buy your own FB likes.

There are LOTS of scams in flipping websites. Many have been burned on the road.
