Where To Buy A Real Ozzy Helmet.

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone know where I could buy a Real helmet in the Bang Na area.

I'm looking for the Ozzy. I know I could buy on-line but I need to try one on beforehand and would prefer to buy locally.

Thanks.

They have a shop on Srinakarin, south of Bangna Trat. Worth to give it a try imo. Bought my helmet there and they had a good stock. But this was more than a year ago.

I thought you would have to go to Australia for a real Aussie helmet.

Join the Big Green Mean Machine and you will get one for free! These blokes did.

Many local helmet/accessory shops are starting to stock Real helmets. Have a look around and you might get lucky.

I bought mine i Srinakarin Road right opposite Foodland (shop closed on sundays). The sunglasses-function and detachable/washable inner lining is a must for me. The downside with Ozzy is that it doesnt cover your mouth area, so I have now changed to a full-face and higher quality Vemar helmet (THB 5900) from Panda-Rider, to avoid the dust from cars, trucks and busses. My "old" Black Ozzy in Size XL (61-62 cm) would be for sale, if you should fail to find a new one.

Just a thought here, Shark helmets are made in Thailand and sold all over the world to include the west, they are homologated for all countries where distributed:

ECE R 22/05,
DOT FMVSS 218 USA/Canada,
INM NBR 7471/2001 Brasil,
AS/NZS 1698/2006 Australia/New-Zélande,
I recommend them because they are much cheaper than an import brand but provide the same standards of manufacturing and protection, they are essentially the best priced bike helmet in Thailand that is certified to international standards. You can find there site at shark-helmets.com .... From there look for a Thailand distributor and send them an email. They even have a sizing chart with instructions so you can order the right size helmet for your head if you want one, they ship anywhere in Thailand for cheap. Some bike shops carry them, I now a couple in Bangkok and Big Wing Honda in Pattaya has several so it's not like you are ordering and get it straight from the factory or anything; if you send them an email they will tell you the closest shop that sells them in Thailand based on your location.
They also have a very good warrantee and repair service that is done local in Thailand at the factory they have. The sun visor on my helmet got scratched because the slid mechanism was out of adjustment, took it into the shop one week later they returned fully repaired / replaced no charge with nothing but a smile on their face.
I paid around 11,000 baht for my EvoLine 2 last year, most expensive they have I think is around 15-16k for a full out race helmet... Most high end helmets start at 18k and the sky is the limit because of import tax and VAT, drives up the price.

Did you have much luck finding a real distributor in bang na?

As i said: http://www.helmetleon.com/

I bought my third Real helmet there two month ago. They have a good stock. Its not exactly BangNa but not far away (south of Bangna Trat) in Samutprakan.

I recommend them because they are much cheaper than an import brand but provide the same standards of manufacturing and protection, they are essentially the best priced bike helmet in Thailand that is certified to international standards.

I thought Real helmets (DOT certified) were cheaper?
