Cheap But Clean Accommodation In Thonglor-Ekkamai Area?

Hello,

A photographer friend from Germany will be arriving in BKK next month and wishes to make a base here for one year.

He would like to stay in the Thonglor-Prakanong area near Sukhumvit.

He is on a very tight budget of only 500 euro per month (approx. 20,000 euro), so he can only afford about 8,000- 10,000 baht per month for a room. This is far below the market rent for condos in this area.

Do you have any suggestions for rooms or studio apts. that are in his budget in the Thonglor-Prakanong area?

Can you let me know what are the best venues online to search for suitable inexpensive accommodation for farangs?

I will be grateful fo any short term or long term suggestions.

you/he might check out rooms/shared in craigslist if that is an acceptable option; otherwise, I don't think much in that area on his budget.
