Perhaps Madrid are looking elsewhere than Suarez or Bale.

Frankly no one on here has considered that possibility. coffee1.gif

i reckon they wanted falcao. they could still go for cavani of course.

That's been my impression all along. Somehow I get the impression RM is not all that hot on Suarez. Bale being the first choice, obviously, given all the sweet talk in the press. If Bale doesn't go, then Cavani. Course its all pure speculation, save for the obvious courting of Bale.

The trouble with Madrid is their system requires a chairman of real iron will to force through the necessary changes and stability that will lead to them winning the CL again.

I don't see any evidence of that at all. Sure Cavani might be the purchase....but they will remain second best in Spain for some time I reckon.

Could be, but with all RM's money, and still with a bunch of talent, if they get a manager that can insure stability and not upset the apple cart with a mammoth ego...Plus, Barca doesn't look as stabile and overwhelming as they did the past few years. I'd look for a continued dogfight at the top of La Liga.

I think Mourinho lost the dressing room. Disrespected stalwart players. Top quality footballers were underperforming. Wait to see the new signings, the new coach and they will still give Barcelona a run for their money.

For all Mourinho's arrogance, massive ego and whilst he'd never hold his hands up, he made a pigs ear of it this year and failed otherwise he would still be their coach. Lost the league by how many points? Needed to be playing ten men to beat Utd or that would have been another quarter final exit.

As Florentino said, "if the results had been better i wouldn't be holding this press conference".

I think it's Bale, after all the 70 million doesn't just get them a player, it gets them a one man team. tongue.png

I read today that Arjen Robben has been transfer listed as he doesn't fit in with Pep Guardiola plans at Bayern Munich. Be interesting to see where he ends up. Will he come back to the prem? If so, who for?

If is true, which tbh wouldnt surprise me, I'de have him at spurs but doubt that he would fit vbs % football, and he wont be cheap, likely 2 go to someone looking go make 'statements', maybe monaco or psg?

And carms to say he made a 'pigs ear' of it is a touch harsh mate, granted he could have won more trophies, for me he was a touch unfortunate he came up against barca when he did and then the German tidal wave. In terms of length of service he's their 3rd longest serving manager EVER, 4 me thats an achievement in itself and in terms of games won has the second best game winning ratio EVER, with 72%, second only to ,,,,,, surprise surprise pellegrine who only lasted 48 games but won 75 %of them , RM could well look bac and regret losing him,but there again maybe not laugh.png

Perez supported the players over the manager....and he will be weaker ultimately for it.

Yes I agree with you on this one rij! tongue.png

smile.pngw00t.gifsmile.pngw00t.gif And the other stat thats pretty impressive is muries team is the second highest scoring ever with 475 and a hugely impressive plus 300 the other manager that beat him, ok scored 1200, but it took him 600 games over 14 years i'm not sure thats a plus or a

neg but either way murrio boys stats are, imo, pretty impressive. Trouble is seems once a frigging chav always a chav !!!sick.gif

yeah went with the media rather than facts but still,,, tbh not looking 4 ward to him getting hold of the chavs squad and the ruskias dodgy wedge, lets hope his ego's sufficiently damaged and he lets things slip. but somehow i doubt it.

I despair at the ridiculousness of the Premiership....but if the scammers are happy to blow their budget on the new Heskey who am I to argue? laugh.png

I don't like the way they play, but if they can keep carroll fit they will be a handful. Oh where's this deal been confirmed?

By the sounds of the boos the Madrid fans gave Mourinho at the end of his last game Peres backed the players AND the fans over the manager. Casillas, Ramos, Pepe also at war with Mourinho! Come off it, his position was totally untenable and self created. Madrid will almost certainly be stronger for his departure, obviouslt depending on the choice of incoming manager

Arsenal the front runner for David Villa ? For the right price he could be a great value. Reportedly could be had for about 15 mil or less. If I were Wenger I'd be all over that. Assuming he passes the physical. Podolski couldn't carry his jock.

Would also be a good pick up for Spurs. As great a finisher as he is, even if he didn't play a full 90 every time out, still worth it. coffee1.gif

I don't see either club paying £15m for a 31 year old.

I hope I'm wrong in our case though.

He's ok for about 7m but for 15m they can have him. He's 31 years old and coming back from a leg break! I'd rather pay a little more and get Benteke.

No argument about Benteke. With Villa, how fit is he ? That's the all important question. If he's even 70-80% of what he once was he could still be a major factor for a club in need of a consistent finisher. God knows there are enough clubs that fit that description.

Benteke to Liverpool if Suarez bogs of to Spain (ye know that country that has no paparazzi so Luis will be free to wander off down to the supermarket and sunbathe naked in his garden at will)

yeah no doubts the situation was self created, and fans were unhappy but not many managers, or players, come out and say they are unhappy and want to leave e real Madrid clap2.gif And players and their mates being unhappy at them being dropped,, hardly new is it. But perez could have held him to the contract and got the 12m buy out from the chavs but would it have looked good for him? having a manager he wanted walk? nah looks better he says ok we dont want you either!! and maybe nurture the fans unrest?, as you say iwether they become stronger will depend on who takes over , one thinga for sure he aint left a settled ship.

Will be interesting to see who comes in, ancelloti, seems was the preferred choice,

Watched the barca game at the weekend, villa scored after 4 mins and looked fit and full of running until the 70? th min when he was taken off, if any thing he was trying to hard and wasn't quite there, will it totally come bac? very dificult to say, at that level the difference is a fraction of a %, and we've seen it with the likes of parker, JUST missing it, at 15 mil 2 much, 7 mil, canrt see barca taking, so his monies probably in between, imo he'd fit vb's plan, but i reckon levy will go 10 maybe, bearing in mind there will be NO MONEY bac on this player for sure.

Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama wants a summer move to Arsenal, according to the player's mentor.

But I love this quote by his mentor

"Van Persie went to Arsenal then moved on later to Manchester United. Victor can do the same if he goes to Arsenal. And I believe that is what he wants. He wants to go to Arsenal."

Sounds like he sees Arsenal as a feeder club for United.

When i've talked to pap's, and said how the f--- c can u? what they say, unless its really covert generally happens is the paps go speak to the 'target' and say 'look we don't like it either, but were here until we satisfy our editors, give us 30? mins of your time, we get what we need and you get back to a peaceful life quickly', and if the target and it's manager are smart they generally do a deal.

win win!!!!!
