Have the changed the site? 0r barred access?

I have used above to help explain to remote engineer how my bandwidth is being snagged

A Swedish telecom buddy discovered ove 90% o a line he paid for was being siphoned off ,perhaps its a ruse for a visit

After each call suddenly I can see uTube without interruption

To give you a clue how poor this is the first time in days TV has loaded in under 15 minutes or at all on rainy days !

For a while it was my tel no

User name <snip>

Pass tot

---------------------------------------

Then on his almost monthly visits for my wifes cooking and usually a glass/bottle of malt

it chnged to

Admin

tot

----------------------------------

This no longer works so after a dozen calls via 1100 and 1177

I was advise it is now

User tel no eg 053xxxxxxxx

Pass 053xxxxxxxx@tothome

-----------------------------------------

This wont work either

I have tried revesing pass and user in case the office had them wrong

Any ideas,

192.168.1.1 is the IP address from your router. Only you can change the log in details .

You can do a manual reset after which it will change back to the standard log in details of the router.

You will need to know the brand and model of the router and a google will tell you the login details set by the manufacturer.

Username: Admin

Password: tot

This is the username and password that you need in order to log in to your modem after you enter 192.168.1.1 in your browser's address bar.

Username: 12345@cybergold

Password: tot

This is your account's username and password that your modem needs in order to access your ISP service.

User tel no eg 053xxxxxxxx

Pass 053xxxxxxxx@tothome

This is another account username and password. For some reason, the help desk thought that you were on the "tothome" service and not the "cybergold" service.

-------------------------------

You should have a piece of paper from TOT with the following details on it:

Username: e.g. 1234567890@something

Password: e.g. JtdGqIrs

Encapsulation: e.g. PPoE LLC

VPI: e.g. 0

VCI: e.g. 33

IF YOU HAVE those details, you could reset the modem and renter them. But you really need to get someone who has done this before to do it for you.

If you don't have them, keep calling 1100.

Insist on talking to a supervisor too. They sometimes fob you off and tell you there is no supervisor available, but they are there.

You could insist ask that the supervisor talks you through it until you are in and sorted :)

How far are you from a TOT office? You may have to go there and demand (politely, of course rolleyes.gif ) that they give you all your account details, especially:

Username: e.g. 1234567890@something

Password: e.g. JtdGqIrs

Encapsulation: e.g. PPoE LLC

VPI: e.g. 0

VCI: e.g. 33

Don't take no for an answer. This is what they must supply to you.

Yes thanks everyone

Sadly although only 130km on country lanes its a full day trip for me and you oftenget fobbed off with Oh the Supervisors at lunch/meeting tho oddly never gf casino etc

I would suggest a call to the TOT call center and politely demand the settings for the modem. They speak acceptable English and will tell the config settings,,,,,,,,,at least they did for me.

In my case the Username is my home phone number followed by diamondcyber, such as 035434XXXdiamondcyber. The Password is simply my nine-digit home phone number. It works for me every time.
