Just found this twit in Thailand Live Sunday. I assume that means we use USA families to keep the rival groups apart?

RT@KristieKenney: Bring the family! USA Fair at Central World Mall in Bangkok. Today is last day.

The white mask group planned its gathering at the Central World shopping
complex this afternoon against the Yingluck Shinawatra government,
which opponents say is a "puppet" regime controlled by Yingluck's
brother, fugitive former premier Thaksin.

I wonder if they tried to burn it down as the red shirts did if they to would go Scott free.

Noppaddon spoke of " an unusual movement of news " but unfortunately I don't speak fluent PTP so what exactly does this nonsense mean ? I'm presuming it's news unfavourable to and unwanted by the government and which they can't control, well so far that is but be sure they're working on it.

Oh I don't know, possibly it's something to do with the fact that there's been 5 articles on "mask" led anti government activity since yesterday in The Nation newspaper alone:

Rival Masked Rallies Planned In City Today, Group Fights 'dictatorship' Linked To Thaksin, A Government Of The People Should Not Threaten, White Masks Leave Virtual World For Real Rally In Bangkok, Anti-Thaksin Group ' White Faces' To Join Thai Spring[/size]

and those are just the ones chosen to comment on here. You'd have thought that somebody had been planting these articles whistling.gif

i WOULD THINK THAT THE REPORTING ON THESE GROUPS is because its actually fairly unusual for Thai's to give a crap about politics let alone get up and be counted... mai pen rai is normally the theme... I think people are just expressing frustration with a government that does not listen.. actually going to the extremes of calling people garbage and crazy for asking questions.

Estimated about a thousand and none had to be brought in from up north or down south.

Which is more than Jatuporn has at his meeting at Chaing Rai where he is talking to empty seats (Mrs just showed me a pix on facebook)

Havent seen any pix or estimates of the red masks yet.

Surprised the red defenders are still posting on here thought they would be down there helping to make up the numbers.

Lack of attendance at the red mask rally has been explained - they forgot to add eye-holes and got lost.

Lack of attendance at Jatuporn's speech harder to explain - possibly sudden outbreak of good taste.

looks more like a new source for protesters. It may appeal to those who were silent in the past.

This could swell and become big over time.

They look like the Thai's I know as my extended family. Would be educated middle class family people in NZ and Aussie. Liked that there was a good mix of uncoloured shirts. I wish them well and hope they get a lot of support. I like what they stand for in enough of the bullshit. If a Bangkok middle class group could side with the non - Maoists factions of the Isaan Reds there could be hope for Thailand. Following the path of the latest thieving fugitive Amart family certainly is not in the Isaan poors interests. And no violence or threats of. Well done you people

In days of yore in the UK highwaymen wore masks. When they were caught, they were hanged. As any Government Minister knows, in Thailand there is no need to wear a mask to perpetrate highway robbery - and you won't be left dangling.

The image of the fugitive criminal in the OP bears a striking resemblance to another piece of garbage in Hitler that humanity would have been better without. Arm raised in salute and all.
