Anyway have you never heard of steak tartar? Well this was slab of beef tartar, and yes it was all for me, i made my guests drive down to the local maccyd's for burgers

That's right, after leaving Thailand over a month ago, I depart today on the final leg of this trip.

Don't start celebrating yet though. I have lay-overs in Europe (but not the UK) and in another place in the M.E., so I suspect I will still have the opportunity to log in and keep an eye on all you pretenders to the Last Word !

Only right now I'm sitting in a coffee shop in the Amsterdam airport. Taking the long route to Afghanistan (again) by flying 3/4's of the way around the world to get there.

Not leaving the airport though, only have a couple of hours, tired as hel_l and it's a pea soup fog out there. Last time I was here (many years ago), I saw what I wanted to see, did what I wanted to do, and right now I have no desire to repeat any of those experiences.

you can`t possibly be in a coffee shop in the amsterdam airport.

There are only café `s at Schiphol.

But if you go downstairs, you can get a train to central staion every fifteen minutes, and be in a coffee shop within twenty five minutes of getting on the train.

Walk out central station, take a right, and you`ll get to the first canal, I recommend this one, cos there`s one of the Rokerij coffee shops there.... Sweeeeeeet!
