Reports: 'Disappointed' Chalerm Refuses To Attend Cabinet Meeting

BANGKOK: -- Mr. Chalerm Yoobamrung is said to remain very bitter after he was stripped of his position as the Vice Prime Minister and transferred to oversee the relatively low-profile post of Minister of Labor in the latest Cabinet shakeup.

According to our source in Pheu Thai Party, Mr. Chlaerm made his disappointment known by refusing to attend the Cabinet meeting today. He reportedly told the Cabinet he was taking a day off to undergo health checkup.

Mr. Chalerm is also said to have confided to his close MPs, including Mr. Adisorn Piangket, that he might also end up resigning from his post at the Ministry of Labor.

Known for his explosive attitude, Mr. Chalerm has previously displayed his displeasure at the new Cabinet line-up by failing to show up for 2 important group photo sessions with other Cabinet members at the Government House.

Yingluck denies Chalerm unhappy with new job
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra Tuesday rejected speculation that the newly-appointed Labour Minister, Chalerm Yoobamrung was unhappy with his new job, denying any dispute between her and Chalerm.

However, Pheu Thai MP Anan Sriphan, who is close to Chalerm, said Tuesday that the former deputy PM was unhappy with the latest change in the Cabinet, as he was "demoted". However, he did not think Chalerm would resign soon, as had been speculated.

Thai politics would be a better place without the likes of The Odious Chalerm and his ilk - sadly they all cling on, as there is far too much money to creamed off at the trough. More lies from Yingluck as well - a normal day in The PTP Moronocracy.

Will she reverse her decision and make Chalerm deputy pm again if he bring up some dirt, same as she did with rice subsidy after the farmers treated to protest ?

Not only did he not turn up for today's meeting, he also failed to show for the photo session after the swearing-in at the hospital yesterday.

He seems to have spat the dummy bigtime.

Please Yingluck, if you have any balls at all, do not give this oxygen thief the satisfaction of resigning, sack him from the party immediately. Display some Leadership. This guy would have lasted nano seconds if he did this in the UK or the States.

That's about as well as anyone could have said it!

Remember, that you are in Thailand. Leaving Chalerm out of cabinet would have caused bigger problems than including him. The PM and her advisers knew full well what the reaction wold be from Chalerm. He was told some time ago about the changes and given the option of retiring on his own or in gently being nudged along. He said no and huffed and puffed and blew his hot air. By including him in cabinet, some semblance of face was retained. Now Chalerm is backing himself into a corner where he has to either shut up or leave and he becomes the "bad" guy and not the PM. If he leaves, it will be his decision and not the PM's. He could have left when he was informed last week, but he thought he could push for the DPM role. He miscalculated.

Chalerm was demoted because the Boss has run out of patience with him. Even though Thaksin lives and moves around in other countries he will not be deaf or blind to the constant hideous activities of this arrogant clown who has played a large part in trying to make Thailand a laughing stock in the eyes of the rest of the World. You can be sure that Politicians in other countries make sure that Thaksin gets certain messages relayed to him about the behaviour of 'his' Government as well as getting plenty of feedback from Yingluck. Who's next on the Cabinet change merry go round; that's the next question?

It's really a shame it didn't happen a lot earlier. A pompous idiot, all mouth and trousers plus a skin full of booze most of the time. Lets just hope he takes his useless off-spring with him when he goes which can't happen soon enough.

I don't often agree with you, GK, but I think you're right on this.

Well, here's that old guy to tell us all about it. You sure seem to have a hotline to Mr T/ Mdme Y/TRT/PTP/the reds/government ministers GK? I guess you're happy to discuss the minutae of red politicking because it detracts from the main issues?

By Jove I think you have it. I have often mentioned that he must have some thing on Thaksin to be kept around. He was becoming as big a joke as Jatuporn.

If he had sobered up for long enough to think it out he would have retired with lots of fan fare and we will miss you nonsense to make him look good.

He knows his pipedream of being PM has gone and he's already throwing his toys out of the pram.

The fun will really start if he becomes too much of a loose cannon, like Seh Daeng. He goes back a long way with T and is doubtless party to all sorts of nasty little secrets best kept that way. Should C get too mouthy and go too far who knows what might happen.

So, the Minister for Labor is a nothing job is it? So much for the working classes...

The working class will be satisfied without Chalerm.

Behaves like a child and expects to be a minister. What a useless sack of crap. Good riddance!

To be fair, in a country where face is everything, they managed to not only totally deface him, but cut off his head as well
