It will be interesting to see which circus is the most popular. Sid James Park looks the place to be this season with Joke Kinnear.

Agreed, but I think Paulo di Canio will be making more headlines along with our old friends Mourinho and Holloway.

The post match interviews promise to be more entertaining than the football this season.

Oh, there's going to be plenty of entertainment. Kin nears latest rankings today have put him way out in front so far though.

looks like you might well be signing Tom Huddlestone. Interesting move by Di Canio if you do as he's gone for a player with little pace but a great passer of the ball. If rumors of 5m is true he's a very decent buy.

Were having Rose back btw

I think Huddlestone 'might' be OK. Very average player, but as we had a below average team last season, then he could help improve the squad.

I liked Rose a lot last season. Although he was photographed in a nightclub in Newcastle last weekend and allegedly told a Sunderland fan he would be signing for us soon, I can't see it. I think Mr. Levy will ask for too much money, and we seem to be chasing young foreign players with potential at lower prices.

Given regular game time Hudd is way more than an average player, he's one of the best long range passers in the league. Di Canio might well be a fruitcake but i think he knows this. Bloke has big respect amongst Spurs fans

Before his injry Hudd looked like becoming a very good midfielder for us. Took him a long time to recover and unfortunately for him he has not been given a real opportunity to fight his way back in.

Our midfield has moved on....and its time for him to find a new place to fire those passes in. Cracking player I think if he stays injury free and gets a regular start.

Have seen glimpses of him to think he is reasonable, but often looked slow to me. Anyway, hope your judgement of him is closer to the kind of player we 'might' be signing if we pursue the alleged interest in him.

Cheers.

Geordie secret agent Danny Graham will probably not now get the opportunity to add to his impressive games without a goal in a Sunderland shirt, after it was all but confirmed that AZ Alkmaar striker Jozy Altidore will be joining Sunderland.

Altidore was previously seen in the Premier League as a lumbering and somewhat clumsy striker on loan at Hull City scoring an impressive once in 28 appearances. However, he has impressed during his time at Alkmaar, and Sunderland fans will be excited at the prospect of signing someone who might score a goal this season, even if it's only one. smile.png

He has recently had a good run with the USA NT, after a long period of mediocre play.

Yes, I noticed that. If Sunderland play Guatemala and Honduras next season, then we'll be OK :)

That is a crap signing IMO, at this rate you'll be phonon Joke Kinnear for tips.

Did everything they could to help LFC out when it seemed most unlikely they could do anything at all. Great spirit, enjoyable to watch too.

Honestly, the football was painful to watch until post Christmas time. It's only recently that Sunderland have begun passing the ball around the pitch instead of lumping it forward for the first time since the Peter Reid era.
