Topic Deleted.

Featured Replies

I started a topic on here asking for photos of Thailand for my website as I have seen other people do before. I was careful not to put my website link in there because of the spamming rules and although it was in the General Topics section I did confirm with a moderator that this was ok.

I was getting a great response on there, with a few pms as well with some great pics coming my way, but check in just now and the topic looks like it has been deleted. I have had no pm from a mod about it though so maybe its just my mistake or something on the site has gone wrong.

Can anyone help?

Problem is, it was soliciting content for a commercial travel site which we haven't allowed before. It would cause trouble with those who have been told no before, and isn't fair to sponsors either. Even mods are not allowed to promote or solicit content for their commercial sites here, and many of us have them.

Sorry Bkk

OK I understand your point, but perhaps a closure might have been better as I've lost a few of the links on there now? Of even a courtesy mail to say that the topic was deleted?

I noticed when Tornado asked for pics for his Phuket Real Estate site it was left open, isn't that a commercial site as well?

If its a conflict of interests because I have hotel bookings on there just send me a mail to say so and then delete the topic, seems the best and polite way to do things.

At the end of the day I was just asking for a few pics, there was no link to my website at all. It does seem a bit harsh no?

As much as I appreciate the quick replies here from the mods, I have to say when we are adding web links from our site to other Thailand resources thaivisa will have to be skipped because it doesn't seem to be that friendly when it comes to networking with other Thailand resources.

Thanks anyway.
