So being stuck in traffic along Sukhumvit last night allows for a fair amount of reflection time.

Here I was, behind a vehicle belonging to the local constabulary, when I started to wonder. Do they know that they are referred to as the BiB?

I needn't have thought too long, having looked at the rear window I saw this sticker...

The police have been called BIB in quite a few countries . We used to call them that when i was young ,along with a few more less neutral names. It is either Boys in Blue or Boys in Brown depending on the colour of their uniform .

Hmm, that would make Vietnamese police BiP or BiS (Boys in Pink or Boys in Salmon).

That's very gay

Ahhh, yes:

The 'Boys' was substituted for something else where I came from......................wink.png

In fact, it wasn't unusual to see written on the gable ends something like "Support your local police force, torture yourselves"

Of course, Belfast was a bit different in those days....................sad.png

When I first came here I thought it was BiBe.

Bribe in Brown envelope.

But I know what BiB means now.................wink.png
