Does anybody know a bakery where you can get rye bread or other kinds of bread except wheat bread.

Ideally in the Bang Rak area.

Sampan bakery.

Only white bread.

They have excellent Danish there for 9 baht each.

Makro has a good selection of dark bread.

Big problem finding decent bread on the island, can't find good baguettes anywhere (although Karma Sutra and Classico in Fishermans have great bread on their menus!).

Angela's in Maenam used to make good bread and bagels.

Yep the Danish bakeries in Sampan are great for only 9thb; croissants are so so, but once again, they are only 9 THB. Baguette is a no no.

Baguettes at French Bakery (traffic light Chaweng) are the best for me.

I will go back to baking my Rye bread.

They were so yummie that I had to stop eating them. Put on too much weight.

Mind you, I think that it is under new ownership since I last shopped there.

I think the bakery in Nathon does rye bread? They have a busy café on the main street across the road from the garage next to the Kasikorn bank.

Yes the bakery in Nathon has really nice rye loaf.Not sure if it is 100% rye though.If you have a gluten problem it might be as well to ask .
