Living in Maenam

Featured Replies

Hello Campers

Anyone living / renting in Maenam? How do you rate it compared to other areas of the Island?

Is the area good for kids?

And whats the deal with long term rentals? Much available?

THanks

Yes lots of places to rent and the area generally suitable for children... All price ranges, and the best way to find the "right area" suitable for you is to ride up and down the Soi's and look for signs.

Places will be harder to find come the high (er) season ... but you can usually negotiate a lower rent on long term rentals... Some places include electric water and wifi some don't .... so you need to ask!

Afternoon Jimmy. The plan is to spend a few weeks in a beach hut and find the right place. I'd like a 2 bedroom place with a wee garden so i'll just keep hunting around, like you suggested, until I find something. I am a good negotiator :-) and would like to spend 15-20 but who knows if I'll get that??

Good point re: electric and water, I guess that can mount up. Wifi is a must!

There is some nice little 2 bedroom places beachside off Soi 5 near the Maenam Resort opposite the Mummy's restaurant (good restaurant btw) I think you can actually ask at the restaurant, I'm sure they are owned by the same person.

I have moved your original inquiry to the accommodation thread. Please let's contain the conversation to the pinned topic.Do not see the sense of having 2 inquiries about the same thing .It is also against forum rules.

Thank you.
