A major car accident happened in Kathu at around 5 am this morning (August 15). The driver of the car involved is a nurse at Bangkok Phuket Hospital.

The driver, whose name has yet to be released, was driving from Patong with two male passengers, her friends.

One man sitting in the front of the car was seriously injured and is unconscious. The male passenger sitting in the back was also injured but is conscious.

The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, a Toyota Vios with Chiang Mai license plates.

Does not take much to do that much damage now. The cars are designed to deform and crumple up to cushion the impact to the cabin.
