Just as a heads up to those in CR who may need it. I have currently been sick. I needed antibiotic injections each day. The hospital wanted me to stay but I declined. I found I can receive these injections through the hospital at my home. They send an ambulance accompanied by a nurse who administers it. The cost was the same as getting it at the hospital plus about 600 baht. that was about 500 baht for the ambulance and 100 baht for extra nursing charges.

I live within a few kilometers of the hospital.

I will not mention the name of the hospital on the superhighway.smile.png

This could be helpful to somone like me who from time to time needs medical care.

Hope you get well soon then Harrry.

No chance of talking the nurse into getting a tuktuk? cool.png

Only time my wife will let a georgeous nurse into the house.

This was a heads up to that it can be done. Their rule is ambulance. By checking round it may be possible to get nursing service to come on a motorcycle.

Helped a lot with speeding recovery. It takes a lot out of me having to go each day.

Yes the forum will have to put up with me a bit longer...this is another one I got through.

very interesting and helpful . I have E.Coli infection and it is resistant to most anti biotics but not to IV injections. So I will have to go to the hospital twice a day to get a nurse to give me them?. The hospital is quite far and I am too old to drive. But my wife can take me. But I am wondering if the small clinic in our village can administer them, if I can buy a supply from the hospital?

Another possible alternative may be to buy the needle and medicine from the hospital and get it done at your local health centre. My wife did this a couple of years ago for treatment she was receiving.
