Maybe its time to move from this city.....sad.png

I speculate it is the bad economy. No money from Mr. Falang = flared tempers. We all need to be a little more careful out there.

... and yet you seem to have only just arrived....

Well said.

Sadly there are many teens here that not learning what is right and what is wrong and that goes for the whole country.

Drugs doesn't help matters either but we don't know if they are druggies.

I wonder if the man crossing the street was arguing with the 2 teens before it happened. Thais are generally very patient when driving/riding, but if they are pushed over the limit you better run as guns/machetes will be pulled and used.

The victim might have made some remark to the motorbike riders who jumped the light and almost hit him .... ? I would have.

This is surely the explanation...or a pre-planned attack related to a business dispute. But don't let this stop all the clueless pattaya and teenager bashing posts from the T-V basement internet keyboard brigade.

Phnom Penh, it's a very peaceful town... for foreigners at least. Thailand is a basket case of a country and I only see it getting worse. Sure we have the odd robbery of people stupid enough to be running around with laptops late at night but the numbers of violent attacks on foreigners is amazingly low. I can only think of 2 incidents in the last 12 years. I feel much safer anywhere in Cambodia than I ever did in London or for that matter when I am in Thailand.

When driving in Khon Kaen and I have had some idiot cut me up or do something dangerous I generally respond with a middle finger, which makes my Thai wife very nervous. Having seen so many reports of Thai's responding to perceived slights by attacking people, such as the falang who was stabbed a couple of weeks back when 2 Thai's nearly ran him over and he apparently shouted something at them, so they came back and one stabbed him in the neck.

A very sorry state of affairs and not at all normal
