Heroin and crystal meth worth THB100 million seized in Ratchaburi

BANGKOK: -- Drugs with an estimated street value of THB100 million were seized by police on the first floor of a deserted three-storey building in western Ratchaburi province earlier today.

Anti-drug police seized 28 kilogrammes of heroin and 14 kilogrammes of crystal meth, or ya ice, after officers watched the building for three hours and raided it after no one showed up.

The police discovered 202 packets of heroin and 14 bundles of crystal meth in three sacks covered with canvas.

Pol Col Pratheep said he believes the traffickers suspected they were being followed and decided to abandon the drugs and flee. [read more]

Keeping it off the streets is one thing, allowing it to get back on the streets is another thing, let's hope the police were 100% honest and the true figure of seizure was 100% correct, the police in Thailand have been known to be a little corrupt at times.... As have the police of the UK...

Everyday millions of money and thousands of pills are seized, yet they just keep coming up more.

If all of this effort went for something positive and meaningful, how nice would it be.
