Does anyone know if it is possible/easy to set up an auto pay from Kasikorn bank for TOT, True, and Thai Electric?

If so is it as simple as going to the branch and signing a few forms? The TOT internet and True TV bills are the same every month but of course the electric bill varies every month.

Thanks in advance for assistance/info.

We have a perfect stranger knock on the door and present the electricity bill, he then waits until I give him the money.

He also brings the water and funeral expenses bills.

Never had a problem so I suppose it must be legit. cool.png

We were the same as you. Now the electricity bills are put in a small box at our front gate and we have to pay in town. Our water and funeral expenses are still the same.

Don't know about True but for TOT, water company, and electric, just go to the bank and tell them what you want it for and they will give you pre-printed forms that you can take to the utility companies and direct debit will occur in a few weeks for TOT and electric, may be a little longer for the water company. But like all things here in Thailand, YMMV

I have automatic payment with Kaiserkorn Bank and it works well. Electric, SAT TV (True) and internet/phone (TOT). Will add cell phone charges soon (True). This way your bills are always paid for and your never late. Plus if your out of town, the bills are attended too. I keep a separate bank account for this, so I do not interfere with my primary bank account.

Just out of curiosity if the house and bills are in a Thai wife's name could they be paid from a bank account in an expat husbands name?

Yes, even if in a company name, the utilities are happy to receive the money and don't really care about the source. That is why you should get the form from your bank before going to the utility company, that way the utility company has the correct bank information to debit
