Have always previously used Retirement ext. & Income letter from embassy.

This time I am considering options as follows:

Marriage ext, 400k seasoned 2 months prior, is that correct? Also does anyone have a copy of the letter required to verify money in bank 2 months etc? My local branch have no idea!

Retirement ext. again, this time 800k in bank, does that need to be seasoned? And again what does the letter need to state? An example would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If using just bank deposit for retirement (other than first) it would have to be in account 3 months. The letters should not have to say anything more than the amount in account and your name/account number as long as you have passbook with records/copies for the required time period.

It is an extension of stay not a visa.

For marriage it is 60 days in an account in your name only.

For retirement it is 90 days.

Can not help with letter other than suggest asking the bank to check with main office. I think it is standard form letter where they fill in he blanks.

They would look at the copy of your bank book to see that the balance was always above either the Baht 400,000 or Baht 800,000 throughout the required seasoning period. The letter from the bank manager confirms the current balance and any foreign originated deposits made in the past 3 months.

In the past I used the Baht 800,000 balance and supplied copy of the bank book. The manager's letter I turned in did not say anything about the seasoning since that is an issue for immigrations, not something the bank manager is expected to deal with.

Re: marriage visa

400K proof of two months in the 1st year.

400K proof of three months in the following years.

That is what I did.

Retirement requires that money needs to be seasoned 3 months every follwowing extension, based on marriage it is 2 months every extension, not only the first.
