Annoying ads

Featured Replies

Since 2 weeks, when I click on a link in my browser another window titled "about:blank" appears with some advertising.

I have run a Virus scan, but it didn't find anything suspect.

I guess it must be some kind of Java applet running in the background.

Do you know how to get rid of this applet?

TIA

If this is a WindowsOS PC then I'd suggest running the free-version of Malwarebyte. Another good piece of software for scanning for this is Ad-Aware from lavasoft.

Also check your Browser Proxy Configuration

Check to see if any toolbars or unwanted extensions have been added to your browser.
