Gents,

I need to find somebody that is a 'one stop shop' to supply for provisions for ships visiting the south of Thailand. I need everything from dry goods, chilled fresh items, frozen imported meats, cleaning materials etc. etc.

It is prefereable I find someone who can do all for me rather than shop around to different people for different categories.

Does anyone know of any such suppliers. I have searched the internet but most are more specific in each category.

Let's try this over in the Phuket forum. Maybe somebody from there can help. Also, if interested, I can put you in touch with the yacht master at Ocean Marina here in Pattaya. He might have a contact for you. Or, just Google it and you'll find his contact info. Great guy.

Ships providores are notorious theives. They give you the lowest produce at the highest price. A lot of the time you're halfway around the world before you get to the crap meats at the back of the coolrooms. Your best to go to makro

Makro Kathu or the big Tesco Lotus near the bypass rd.

Is the big tesco lotus near the bypass rd, not far from phuket international hospital and is Makro close by?

Spotted the word Chandler on a sign today just 1 or 2 hundred metres past Homepro on CF West.

That particular operation is a low level small boat supplies, non food related, i.e. rope, some fixings, lub oils etc. I've been in there a few times and never found anything I'm looking for. For small boats, and in the Chalong area for maintenance items, the 'Marine

Stores', about 800 metres or so on Chaofa East from Chalong Circle, is a much better bet.

However, getting back to the OP, I think essentially he's looking for a ships agent type of arrangement where there's a 'picking list' of provisions/prices, and will be delivered to the dock. What he doesn't mention is the size of vessels, although by quoting western meal requirements, I'm guessing yacht charters rather than commercial ships. If it's yacht charter, the last thing that the clients want to do is hire transport to get to Tesco/Big C/Makro/Villa Market etc, when they are paying big big bucks a day for their vessel. That is what they are paying the charter company to do.

Thanks for your assistance.
FYI, Tesco and Makro are not interested. They prefer not to get involved in individualised supplying.
I am currently supplying a drilling rig accommodating about 140 persons. My current supplier is unreliable and as one poster mentioned, he provides low quality product at high end prices.
craigt3365. Can you send me a PM of the details of the guy from Ocean Marina and he may be able to assist.
