I remember seeing an advert in GMC some months ago, and after digging through all my old mags here I found it. The ad is in Thai, but it gives a web address and a local number. Sorry but I have no idea if they are still operating...MM

I believe there's a place in Mae Sa, not far from the Mae Rim road. It's called the X Center or something like that & I think they have ATV's. Not sure what kind of track or terrain they have though.

There's at least 3 places on R1096, the Mae Rim - Mae Sa Valley road.

The main one is

X-Centre 2 kms from R107

They have a web site

http://www.chiangmai-xcentre.com/

they also have a track

Although looking at their web site they dont mention "quads" so perhaps I'm wrong.

Then there is

1. IMAC ATV tours

http://www.atvthai.com/

at Country house, about 400 metres before the Mae Sa Elephant camp. I think these guys were the first with the quad tours. IMAC is about 9 1/2 kms from R107.

2. ATV tours/ treks (Not sure of the name) which I think was somewhere about Mae Ram orchid. Right hand (north) side of R1096. "Probably" about 5-6 kms from R107.
