Sunglasses Shop in Phuket

Can anyone recommend a sunglasses shop in Chalong/Phuket Town that sells original sunglasses at a sensible price. Just went into a sunglasses shop in chalong but they only sell top designer makes and with discount they were still nearly 5000 Bhat.

Top designer originals will cost from 5,000 baht even in Phuket Town. I priced Ray Bans last year, about 10,000 baht. I did not buy.

The one's for 5000 Bhat where Ray Bans. I would rather buy a pair without the flash name for half the price. They were nice sunglasses though.

I get a new set of fake Oakley and Rayban sunglasses every couple of weeks at any of the day or night markets for 100B. Sometimes they say UVA/UVB but it's doubtful they are which can be dangerous as they can actually expose you to more UV than if you didn't wear them by dilating your eyes. I only use them when I also wear my contact lenses which have UV protection.

I have also found decent glasses at 7-11, Tesco, and Family Mart for 99-199B. These are a bit more likely to actually have UV protection if they say it.

There's no difference between a 100B pair of sunglasses and a 10,000 pair, ask the local welders that use the 100B pair for 12 hours a day welding and there eye sight is perfectly.........F***ked, joking apart, the 100B ones were tested and do more damage then not wearing them, because they open the pupil, allowing the rays in, but with no protection, so at least buy a decent real pair of sunglasses, even from tesco's at 100B to 200B, at least you know they are not just coloured glass and will protect your eye's.
