Thaksin in Oslo as Bangkok erupts over amnesty bill

Many Norwegian youths neither know nor care about what happens in Thailand. Their only concern is partying and spending buckets of money.

And, HE will be back people. The Welcome Home billboard is up already next to the expressway to Silom.

He will be received at whatever airport (CMX?) with flying colours and fanfare. He will get the biggest police escort home of the likes not seen before.

And then the true manure will hit the fan.

They'll go home and Google it, then think it's cool to have a photo with an outlaw on the run.

You never know, might be the next t-shirt fad. Look out Che Guevara.

Hard working Thai taxpayers??? You won't be slagging the bloke off when he gets back though will you.

IF he gets back.

Why wouldn't the slagging off continue? Is there something we should be worried about?

Maybe you should learn something about the defamation laws here!

Is it not better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool .... etc, etc,.. One born every minute.. w00t.gif

probably looking for a new rat-hole, cause he sure won't be back here soon even if the bent crap his brown-nose lackey's are pushing passes through the senate in the next week or so.

I am sorry a bit off topic here but..

If this is so bad and I personally think it is...WHY DONT THE ARMY STEP IN?

This is one area an army has a right to overthrow as looking at the Bangkok post on Saturday and seeing the BILLIONS swindled and people named.., this is nit pilfering but massive scale destruction of the Thai nation

Well, domestic sh-it is not really the army's role, it's the role of the people to vote in the right people - I know I know - that's a joke ha ha ha - but this is Thailand and you buy votes and get told who to vote for.

Although Thailand has a history of army coups, they should really stay out of it, but then this is Thailand and what is the norm for most civilised nations just doesn't apply here - why, well that's another story for another day.

Anyway - who knows what will happen in the next few weeks , the bill causing all the problems might fail to pass and that will be another story to unfold and who really knows where that will lead to - so at the end of the day the "people" might step in as has happened in other countries and sort out the mess themselves.

It seems the Thaksin team are pushing for a fresh start -resest to zero - maybe they should be careful what they wish for as it might come true with them as the underdog.

Think again, SMS747 is correct & is going to be more rigorously enforced if the proposed Computer Crime Act B.E. 2556 is passed into law.

As the big boss of the army has said many times we are out of the coup business, try to stay up with the local news

This just really shows how the western world isn't really taking this so called "Thai fugitive" status seriously.

Might as well have a holiday now because when he returns he will have lots to catch up on and a few people that he will need to have a word with in his office. Busy busy and back to hard graft again as usual.

Shame on Norway for allowing wanted criminals into their country.

Criminal perhaps but I wouldn't go so far as to say he's "wanted" by anyone. High ranking police officers and officials visit the man overseas and bend to his wishes. I don't think any real effort has ever been made to capture or extradite him. I'd hardly expect any other country to step in and play international police when the Thai government itself only shows interest in following his orders, whitewashing his crimes and letting him keep on keeping on in the meantime.

It's an outrage the missunderstood fugitive can keep jetting around and party on a Thai diplomatic passport, provided by little sis after he was convicted to do time.

Hopefully the first non-red-shirt government will cancel hiss pass and request extradiction. Then he can crawl into some hole in f.i. Montenegro. From there he will no doubt keep messing with Thailand. Best would be if he just would seize to exist. Then the healing can begin. It's about time thai people get than the mob that has been running things.

I recommend the world's greatest liar takes up skiing whilst he's in Scandinavia. Find the highest peak he can find and.... whooosh, down and there he goes, never to be seen again, problem solved.

What type of passport does he have?

diplomatic passport given by Montenegro government

Nope a diplomatic passport issued by Thailand.

That's why he can get around the world supposedly representing Thailand.

And why Yingluck has been arranging visa free entry for diplomats to every country she visits.

Also why she refuses to answer the A G because if she did it would then come out that he has a diplomatic passport.

You sure it's a diplomatic passport, Robby? I know his normal Thai pp was given back to him.

Perhaps this is the answer. He's representing Nicaragua - the government has confirmed Thaksin is "an ambassador of Nicaragua on a special mission". That was in September last year. So he's likely in Norway to arrange a trade deal - icebergs for Nicaragua's most famous export. happy.png

Outstanding litmus test. The US Army should of stepped in long time ago in America.

Thai Army is hardly retired from the coup business, it's just on hiatus. Soon as the flavor of the month PM starts meddling where it affects their bottom line, or that of a select group of well heeled old guys, the PM will be caste as a threat to the monarchy. Wash, rinse, repeat. Next.

But the Thai people either:

Dont understand that, dont care, or are happy with that.

Whichever answer, they should be fuming, but they are not.

Very strange people. blink.png

Yes agree, but he should try helicopter skiing (Just don't tell him the copter has to land on the peak for the skiers, tell him the 10,000foot jump from the copter is totally normal)
