International Silk Festival in Khon Kaen

Khon Kaen is extending its the well-known “Silk Festival” with an invitation to the six countries from the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) to participate.

A Silk Festival has been being held in Khon Kaen for 36 years with the objective of promoting local products. This year, His Excellency Somsak Suwansujarit, Governor of Khon Kaen, wants to broaden the event under the new name, “International Silk Festival Pook Xiao Traditional and Red Cross Fair in Khon Kaen.”

The second phrase, 29 November to 10 December, 2013, held on the thoroughfare in front of City Hall will be the silk exhibition, with products on sale from all the GMS countries, together with fashion shows and traditional national artistic performances. Performance dates as follows:-
- 30 Nov– 1 Dec: China
- 3-4 December : Vietnam
- 5-6 December : Thailand
- 8-9 December : Laos
