Looking for somewhere new

Featured Replies

Hello all, looking for some advice.

My wife (thai) and I will be having a holiday next April without the teenage kids. WooHoo

We will be going to our house in Ranong, Kraburi to be more precise and the kids find it so boring, never mind their loss.

We would like to have a few days by the sea on the way back up to Bangkok. We have been to HuaHin and Cha Am a few times and wondered if there was somewhere else that might fit the bill for the next trip.

We dont need much in the way of night life, a few bars is ok. Good food, somewhere with a nice beach and comfortable hotel.

I would be grateful for any suggestions on locations and even specific hotels would be excellent.

Thanks in advance

Sean

You could try Baan Krut or Baan Grood as it is sometimes spelled, a nice long beach with a beautiful temple on the hill at the northern end of it. A couple of resorts and restaurants, no nightlife I would know of. Google for Arcadia Baangood, other option is Baanklangaow Resort a bit older but nestled in a nice garden. Enjoy the holiday.

kraburi is great! ;-)

and so little farang!

ban krut and banG saphan are nice indeed. u can stay at both, few days krut few days saphan.

Why does nobody recommend the city of Prachuap Khiri Khan? I always thought it was a great spot with varoius ammenities.

And Chumpon? OMG So naturally beautiful!

Enjoy all, if coming from Ranong.

I always did.
