stconan Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 can anyone tell me is there a limit on how much english currency i can bring in to thailand, i have a wife and daughter in thailand and allways have a non im o visa. thanx for any help.
rainman Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 as much as you can carry, as far as i know. i brought 50k USD in cash last january with no problems. you may want to look into UK laws on how much you're allowed to take out, though.
sfokevin Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 I think there are certian limits on "Un-declared" cash in your suitcases.... If you declare and are prepared to answer any questions about all the cash you should have no problem...

In fact I would definitely advise not to declare that you have a large amount of cash to anybody, including Customs officers. A friend of mine had a large amount of cash taken from their hand luggage, and the only time they left their seat was to go to the toilet on the plane
