Ophthalmologist in Bangkok ?

Featured Replies

I did a search and there seems to be precious little info regarding Ophthalmologists. I'm looking to make an appointment this week in Bangkok. If anyone has had a good experience with a specific MD please let me know. Much thanks.

Every hospital has a department dedicated to that but often only one actual ophthalmologist on staff. I use Vejthani Hospital and they have a dedicate facility and there are normally two or three ophthalmologists on duty and I use Dr Chaniya Kulachanpises who only works there on Saturdays and is a specialist on Glaucoma.

There is a dedicated hospital on Soi Asoke called Rutnin that is considered the foremost facility in Thailand that I have also used.

Much thanks lopburi3 !clap2.gif

I've used Dr Patamanuch at Yan Hee Hospital. She did cataract operations on both of my eyes and has been monitoring the effect of diabetes on my eyes for a number of years. Very reasonable fees and excellent service.
