There are a few bars there probably close to where you are staying, I remember 4 of them being owned by the same bird quite dirty looking got a lesbian daughter called pang. Couple of farang owned bars.

If you are at the main bus station in Kan look across at the small 7-11. Now turn right out of the bus station, carry through the crossroads and past the first left. Take the next left. Almost immediately on your left you will hear an appalling sound which I believe is known as karaoke. Not sure how farang friendly they are.

"Mae Nam Kwae Road" has quite a few "Farang Friendly Bars". 2 years ago, great fun, good entertainment. These days, so la la. Used to go there once a month. These days, every 3 months will do. But maybe during "high-season" (starting now), the place will rise to it's former glory for a few weeks.

Other than that: Central-Thailand is a barren waist land for Farangs seeking distraction/entertainment.

Cheers.
