But breaking into government offices, bullying workers at their job and beating up journalists just because they write something "nasty" against you is definately outside the law and it has to be stopped now. The man who is controlling all these acts is called Suthep , so that is the man to arrest, give him a nice room in jail without bail till his case is heard sometime in the next 5 years HOPEFULLY ! I assume where you are from there is no history in democracy of civil disobedience. I am unaware of "bullying" and am unaware of "beating up journalists". I am aware of one journalist that was struck and also that he was defended by some of the guards at that same venue. So, Old Sailor ... no history of civil disobedience in your country of origin? Would you prefer the Kent State solution?
Larry001
So he should be. He isn't thinking about his fellow people and how many of them will be out of work and in poverty when the country goes down the 'gurgler' Watching Aljazeer and it became apparent that this country is a laughing stock amongst reporters and around the world. The say they have democracy becaus ethey have a vote. But then the party who looses throws the otehr out of Govt. Thais do not have the understanding of true democracy as Westerners know it. gerry1011
Yes, arrest that idiot. And the Idiots on this forum that have supported the scum bag. Uhm... You think they should do that too? Uuuuhm... Maybe the posters on this forum, and all those naive people who supported this new round of silly and destructive protests were not that bad. Even if they still supported the protests once these were "upgraded" to overthrow nearly everything and everyone not agreeing with the Dems. Probably they were just too naive to imagine that it would escalate and did not see that these protests were in no way bringing any solution and peace to the country. Maybe they were just writing the wrong things out of frustration in their own lives. Some have a difficult time in Thailand you know? It's a great difficulty for them to understand what is really happening around them when relying only on very biased English news sources (or a wife that they also can't understand). Some don't even actually live in Thailand but have difficult times and frustrations at home and discharge their anger on forums. Maybe some were just ranting out of jealousy. Many have a tendency to quickly hate people with money and power, like most politicians here. A lot have a tendency to simply hate a billionaire family, like the PM's family, only because they themselves never achieved anything much in their lives. Maybe a few were just drunk (again) while writing, or maybe drank a brand that was really too cheap that time. Maybe they felt better to write some bad things about the government because they saw that it is more "trendy" to write such things on this forum. Maybe they associate the Dems and the yellows to an upper class in the society to which they would like so much to be identified. Maybe they just like to look down at the lower middle class and the government which the people of Thailand democratically elected because they consider themselves as "educated" and so much above that "lower" class (now that they earn 29.000b from their new teaching job). So, you see, you should forgive these scum bags (to use your own words) for what they did. They have their own reasons to support an man as insane as Suthep, and the criminal actions that this former Democrat MP advocates. I, of course, do not agree with all these naive people who support Suthep and the yellow/Dems street mobs, but it is useless to argue with such people. Give them a chance. Forgive them. Do not wish that they get arrested. Or, ... Do you really think it would help??? oldsailor35
Arrest him. He has turned completely insane since a while. A man in his condition should not be put in contact with other humans. Apparently he already made some people turn equaly insane too. Lock him up quickly and for as long as he lives before he provoques more damage to the country. Popular Post wolf5370
If they wanted to be rid of Suthep they only needed to bring forward the murder charge - as he quit as an MP he is no longer covered by the end of session rule, and no need to wait until after the King's birthday. I said it yesterday, and I'll say it again now - it was a mistake to go into the offices - it was a game changer; an escalation - and the pressure was already mounting. It allowed for the ISA to be enacted and for other charges to be sought and would have knocked many fence sitters over the other side I would think. Not a clever move. I was really disappointed when Suthep appointed himself as leader - and he may well be the point of ignition because of this.
tingtongteesood
Suthep should freely give himself up at the nearest police station and show the country what a real man does, the exact polar opposite of Thaksin the fugitive. Then he will become a martyr to the cause and his demonstration of following the rule of law will inspire the people further to not accept anything less from their elected government. He would stay in prison until the government is out in a few weeks then he will be the national hero.
jdinasia
The police trying to arrest Suthep at this juncture would be akin to the military attempting to arrest Arisman, Jatuporn or Nattawut three and a half years ago at Ratchaprasong. Quite difficult I would think. and with far less provocation than existed at that time, as well

dunque
Court approves arrest warrant against Suthep for Finance Ministry intrusion BANGKOK: -- The Criminal Court Tuesday approved a warrant for arrest of protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban. Suthep was charged with violating Article 215 and 365 of the Penal Code by leading more two persons to intrude into the compound of the Finance Ministry on Monday. -- The Nation 2013-11-26 Does anyone have that law to hand. It is illegal to ask 2 people to intrude into a government compound? How about 1? What is the charge? Trespass on public property? My lord, how on earth does every single food vendor in the country reconcile that one? here you go - seems the second charge is trespass but of the aggravated kind

You might be more credible if you cut down on the exaggeration and Kittirat-style veracity . There was no bullying of anyone at their job. They walked into the government offices after forcing the gate. The journalist wasn't beaten up - he was punched during an argument. Whether Suthep is acting outside the law is a moot point. I don't suppose refusing to accept a legal court's verdict and attempting to give amnesty to a criminal is in any way illegal, is it?

Artisi
RT @tulsathit: Criminal court has approved warrant for Suthep arrest. via @jin_nation Well, we can now wait for the moment when the BIB try to put handcuffs on the guy. Should get interesting to say the least. The question should be, who dare to walk into the crowd and drag him out. I'm certain that wouldn't be a nice affairs don't you think? Would be nice to think that there existed within the Thai military a crack unit who could "deal" with him just as Seal 6 did with Bin Laden. Maybe they could have a practice run on the fugitive first. That would solve all the current problems. Sunny Day
So is he going to surrender, or be a coward like the yellows claim Thaksin to be. That he is leading his supporters at the front of the rally stage rather than hiding in an elitist boutique in Paris as his supporters burn the capital gives a clue as to his coward credentials. Why would he surrender, it's not as if the police are fair and impartial, and it's not as if the sitting government have any respect for law and order. Following the Ekayuth and shipping Moo fiascos I would recommend any outspoken critic of dear leader not to surrender. Brilliant. He wouldn't be a coward for not surrendering to the police, because they are 'unfair' and 'partial'. Thanks for the laugh JD.

I hate to think that you could be right so ?? what are those who are totally fed up with this corrupt bunch and their red thugs totally controlled by one megalomaniac meant to do. They openly say they wont accept a court ruling. They push through in most vile way a bill to absolve a convicted criminal. They openly say they are able to do anything they want. So answer me that. Wait until Taksin and his cronies take over complete control of all checks and balances and then by some made up excuse introduce a police state. IMO it is very unlikely if anything was not done that their would be no real election since by then Taksin would have been back and having total control able and willing to put in his own one party dictatorship. This government has proved time and again they have no interest in anything but getting Taksin back at any cost. Sure not ideal way to get rid of a mad megalomaniac but Taksin and his cronies have given no other choice and I for one support it 100% since its the only way to stop Thailand descending into a dictatorship. I simply do not believe anything or almost anyone would be any worse than this curse which for years has been hanging over Thailand. IF they dropped Taksin totally and his clan while I may hate red thugs and cronies in this government at least their would not be one person controlling it all. Popular Post falangadang
To be fair, and to follow the rule of law and civil concordance,- the police are not only within their rights to make the arrest but also legally obligated. That said,.. no I'm not a Thaksin/PTP supporter (by a long shot), ... this is where it starts to get really interesting and where the rubber starts to hit the road to speak. If any patriot seeking justice stands up to their government in a willingness to see them overthrown then that's just fine as long as he/they are successful and in so doing they remove a tyrant from power. Meanwhile,.. whilst ever the tyrants remain in power or if they hang on to power then our deficant patriots run the risk of being hung out to dry and become the hapless victims of a failed overthrow attempt instead of the victorious liberators they were aiming for. Let's hope it can remain as a game of poltical chess and manoevre and that no harm or violence ensues either way. Whichever way you look at it, Sutheps wins IMHO because he has already made a point and garnered a lot of support and people showing a willingness to take real actiion and not just verbal opinions and social media support. I sense that this is the beginning of some real change in government accountability that we haven't seen in the last 2+ years at least!
